Yep the old saying rings true. I've had 3 gear issues in 3 consecutive shows. Let's hope i'm done with it for now at least. And as for the "nay-sayers" out there that want to bash tube amps (you know who you are matt), the following paragraph is for you:
It is a well known fact that tube amps are "high maintenance" as far as up-keep, and being sensitive to getting banged around etc etc. Everyone realizes this. I've basically played close to 40 shows with BXN and my first tube amp failure occured the other night, as i had a rectifier tube go south on me. Unlike other "guitarists i know", this is no excuse to go out and buy some solid state piece of equipment that could never, on it's best day come close to the tonality you get from a tube amp. Like my playing, i take my sound seriously. Since making the move to tube amps quite some time ago, the distinctive sound has defined my style without a doubt. This has only taught me to learn more about the maintenance aspect of owning/using tube amps and being a little more prepared for potential failures. Sacrificing your tone for the security of thinking you will have no mishaps? nah, not gonna happen here. You solid state guys better enjoy the thought of a tube rig's infrequent failure.....cause when it's in operation, you get owned....bottom line. : )

Ah definitive BxN. Yin and Yang coming together to make our band unique. The agreeing to disagree. :)
I still wish I got a picture of you playing the Crate. -lol-
Yep. You should have. Cause it was the equivalent of hell freezing over... :p
